Intro to Users
About this lesson
A User is a stitched profile for one person. GrowthOS keeps their history together as they move between devices and apps, so you see a real journey, not scattered clicks. A User profile brings three things into one place: recent activity, key attributes, and consent.
That’s useful for targeting, timing, and understanding what happened before you reach out. There are two simple ways to add people: import a file when you’re loading real data, or create a single test user when you’re checking your setup. Use a steady identifier so the same person stays the same across tools, and keep your User Attributes small and honest- only what you plan to use, like role, plan, or region.
Let Events handle recency instead of storing lots of temporary flags. With clean profiles in place, your segments read like real people, your messages feel timely, and your reporting reflects actual behavior.
